PLABPro — Terms of Use

Effective Date: 2 February 2026

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

PLABPro is powered by generative artificial intelligence. All clinical scenarios, patient simulations, feedback, and content generated during practice sessions are produced by AI and are intended solely for educational and examination preparation purposes. This content does not constitute medical advice, clinical guidance, or a substitute for professional medical judgement. By using PLABPro, you acknowledge and accept this.

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to PLABPro (the “Platform”), a product of the London Institute of Business and Technology (“LIBT”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). PLABPro is an AI-powered voice-based practice platform designed to help medical professionals prepare for the PLAB 2 clinical examination administered by the General Medical Council (GMC).

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PLABPro platform, including all associated websites, applications, services, and content. By creating an account, purchasing credits, or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use PLABPro. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and will use the Platform in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those of your country of residence and the United Kingdom.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

THIS IS A CRITICAL SECTION. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

3.1 Nature of the Content

All content on the PLABPro platform, including but not limited to clinical scenarios, simulated patient dialogues, voice responses, performance feedback, scoring, and any recommendations provided during or after practice sessions, is generated in whole or in part by generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This includes content produced by large language models (LLMs), text-to-speech systems, and speech-to-text engines.

3.2 Not Medical Advice

The AI-generated content on PLABPro is provided strictly for educational and examination preparation purposes. It does not constitute medical advice, clinical guidance, diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or a substitute for the judgement of a qualified medical professional. You must not rely on any content generated by PLABPro for the purpose of making real-world clinical decisions, diagnosing patients, or administering treatment.

3.3 AI Limitations and Inaccuracies

Generative AI systems may produce content that is:

  • Inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or inconsistent with current medical guidelines and best practices.
  • AI-generated patient simulations may not accurately reflect all real-world clinical presentations.
  • AI-generated feedback and scores are approximations and should not be treated as definitive assessments of clinical competence.
  • The Platform may occasionally produce unexpected, irrelevant, or factually incorrect responses.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the quality of clinical scenarios and AI behaviour, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

3.4 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information obtained through the Platform against authoritative medical sources, including but not limited to the GMC's published PLAB 2 guidance, NICE guidelines, the British National Formulary (BNF), and other recognised medical references. You acknowledge that PLABPro is a supplementary study aid and not a replacement for comprehensive examination preparation, clinical training, or professional medical education.

4. Limitation of Liability

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY AS IT LIMITS OUR LIABILITY TO YOU.

4.1 No Liability for AI-Generated Content

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LIBT, its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or harm arising from or in connection with your use of, reliance on, or interpretation of any AI-generated content on the Platform, including but not limited to any clinical scenarios, simulated patient interactions, feedback, scores, or recommendations.

4.2 No Liability for Examination Outcomes

LIBT does not guarantee that use of PLABPro will result in a successful outcome in the PLAB 2 examination or any other professional assessment. We accept no liability whatsoever for any examination failure, delay in professional registration, loss of income, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, regardless of the theory of liability.

4.3 No Liability for Clinical Decisions

Under no circumstances shall LIBT be liable for any clinical decisions made by you or any third party based on or influenced by content generated by the Platform. The Platform is not designed or intended to inform real-world patient care, and any use of the Platform's content for such purposes is entirely at your own risk.

4.4 Maximum Liability

To the extent that any liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, LIBT's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to LIBT for credits in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

4.5 Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Platform. The Platform may be subject to downtime for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We shall not be liable for any loss arising from the unavailability of the Platform, including loss of unused credits during periods of downtime, provided that we will use reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED MATERIALS, ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIBT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF INFORMATIONAL CONTENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, LIBT does not warrant that:

  • Any AI-generated content is accurate, current, or consistent with UK medical guidelines;
  • The content is suitable as the sole basis for PLAB 2 examination preparation;
  • The Platform will meet your specific requirements or expectations; or
  • Any defects in the Platform will be corrected.

6. Credits, Payments, and Refunds

6.1 Credit-Based System

PLABPro operates on a credit-based system. Each credit entitles you to one (1) practice session. Credits are purchased in packages (Starter, Standard, Pro, or Ultimate) at the prices displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase. One (1) free session is provided to new users for evaluation purposes.

6.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. LIBT does not store your full payment card details. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these Terms.

6.3 Refund Policy

Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from completing a session for which a credit was deducted, you may contact us at support@plabpro.ai to request a credit restoration. Such requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our reasonable discretion.

6.4 Credit Expiry

Purchased credits expire twelve (12) months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated at the time of sale. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before your credits expire.

7. User Accounts and Conduct

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to:

  • Share your account with others;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any AI models or proprietary technology;
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Record, redistribute, or commercially exploit session content without our prior written consent; or
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including but not limited to the software, design, branding, clinical scenario structures, AI system prompts, and proprietary methodologies, are owned by or licensed to LIBT. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial examination preparation purposes only.

The clinical scenarios are based on publicly available medical examination preparation materials and have been adapted for use within the Platform. Any resemblance to specific patient cases is coincidental.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform utilises third-party services including, without limitation, Deepgram (voice processing), Anthropic (AI language model), and Stripe (payment processing). Your use of the Platform may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers. LIBT is not responsible for the performance, availability, or policies of any third-party service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LIBT and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, any reliance you place on AI-generated content, or any claim by a third party related to your use of the Platform.

11. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms shall limit any rights you may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
